Goodbye to China

Tomorrow is the day we've been longing for since we left two weeks ago…it's the day we finally get to head home with Sophie.  We left Guangzhou around 4:30 this afternoon for a 3-hour van ride to Hong Kong where we're spending the night tonight.  Unfortunately we didn't have any time to explore the city.  We'll be boarding a United Airlines flight to Chicago at 11:50 tomorrow morning.

Sophie is continuing to do great!  God has answered our prayers as she has attached herself and bonded with us much better than we could have hoped.  I know we've got a long way to go, but she seems to know we're mom and dad and her personality is really emerging. 

I doubt I'll have time to post from Hong Kong before we leave in the morning so let me tell you now how excited we are to finally be making our way back to the United States!!  Our flight from Chicago lands in Nashville at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday and we can't wait to see our friends and family at the airport.  Please pray for us as we make this trip with an 18 month old little girl who probably won't be too excited about being cramped up in a tiny space for almost 20 hours.  Should be interesting…
